2016 Edition of International Compilation of Human Research Standards Now Available

The Office for Human Research Protections (OHRP) has released the 2016 edition of the International Compilation of Human Research Standards, which can be found on-line here. This 157-page compilation enumerates over 1000 laws, regulations and guidelines from 120 countries and is developed for use by all parties involved in human subject research around the world. This compilation includes standards for 7 new countries such as Cuba, United Arab Emirates and more. The document is easy to navigate and in many cases the listings include a link for direct access to the law, regulation, or guideline of interest.

The contents of this 2016 compilation are organized between global standards, region specific standards and country standards.

Although this is a very comprehensive compilation, it does not include standards at the state or local levels, ethics codes of specific organizations, working papers, or drafts. For a comprehensive list of topics not covered visit page 2 of the document.
